The earthquake comes after a series of tremors earlier this week, including two consecutive quakes in southern Manipur’s Churachandpur and Pherzawl districts.

The first quake, measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale, struck at a depth of 40 km, followed by a second tremor of 3.3 magnitude, occurring 49 minutes later at a depth of 30 km. No significant damage or loss of life was reported from these incidents.

Despite the frequency of seismic activity in the region, authorities have assured that there has been no major impact from the recent tremors.
