Ahead of the Budget session of Parliament on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted that, for the first time in the last ten years, there were no attempts from foreign sources to provoke unrest or stir controversy.
Speaking to the nation, the Prime Minister highlighted that since 2014, foreign players had often tried to disrupt the proceedings by creating controversies ahead of the session, but this time there was a notable absence of such interference.
While not naming any specific incidents, Modi alluded to controversies like the allegations made by US-based Hindenburg Research against the Adani Group, which had dominated previous sessions.
He urged the media and the public to recognize this shift, noting the peaceful atmosphere surrounding the current session.
Modi also outlined his vision for India’s progress, stressing the importance of “perform, reform, and transform” as a guiding principle for development.
He emphasized that both the Centre and states must work together to drive growth, and public participation is essential for the nation’s transformation.
Focusing on the future, the Prime Minister highlighted that young people, particularly those aged 20 to 25, would be the main beneficiaries of India’s development by 2047, when the country will mark its centenary of independence.
In closing, Modi urged young Members of Parliament to contribute actively to the country’s growth, stating that their involvement in parliamentary matters will be crucial in achieving the goal of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India).
He expressed confidence that the upcoming Budget would provide new energy and hope to the nation, setting the stage for India’s future prosperity.
