Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday held a video conference with District Commissioners from across the state at Lok Sewa Bhawan in Guwahati to review the progress of several important socio-economic initiatives.
The meeting primarily focused on the implementation of three major programs: Orunodol 3.0, Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan, and Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan.
M Sarma emphasized the need for efficient collaboration to ensure the successful rollout of these initiatives, which are central to Assam’s socio-economic growth.
One of the key decisions made during the conference was the involvement of Co-District Commissioners in the supervision of the Orunodol 3.0 scheme, as they will play a critical role in ensuring its effective implementation at the grassroots level.
CM Sarma also reviewed the progress of the Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan and Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan, both of which aim to empower women and promote entrepreneurship for economic self-reliance.
In addition to these initiatives, the Chief Minister highlighted the upcoming mass Jhumur dance performance scheduled for February 24 at Sarusajai, which aims to set a world record.
He also directed that the performance be live-streamed in tea gardens across the state to allow remote communities to participate in the celebration of Assam Tea’s 200th anniversary.
The conference was attended by key state ministers, including Atul Bora, Ashok Singhal, Keshab Mahanta, and others, as well as senior officials such as Chief Secretary Dr. Ravi Kota and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Dr. K.K. Dwivedi.
