Assam Police Cracks Down on Infiltration, Six Detained

Guwahati, Jan 25: Six Bangladeshi nationals who had illegally entered Assam were apprehended and pushed back to Bangladesh by Assam Police, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed on Friday.

The individuals, identified as Md Juman, Md Sahib, Hanupa Begum, Md Kholil, Saiful Rahman, and Rocky, were detained during an ongoing crackdown on illegal infiltration. The district where the incident occurred was not disclosed, but the Chief Minister lauded the police for their swift and efficient action in securing the state’s borders.

Sarma praised the Assam Police for their timely response, stating on social media, “Assam Police continues its crackdown on infiltration, 6 Bangladeshi nationals apprehended,” underlining the state’s commitment to maintaining strong border security.
