Beyoncé Wins Best Album at 2025 Grammy Awards – Full List of Winners

Beyoncé made history at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, winning the prestigious Album of the Year Grammy for her album Cowboy Carter. This marks her first time winning the main Grammy award for Album of the Year, after being nominated four times in the past without success. The album blends country and Americana music and celebrates the often overlooked contributions of Black artists in the country genre.

Beyoncé, who has won 35 Grammy Awards throughout her career, dedicated her win to Linda Martell, one of the first Black women to perform solo at the Grand Ole Opry and a pioneer for Black musicians in country music. Martell is featured on several tracks of Cowboy Carter. During her acceptance speech, Beyoncé expressed how full and honored she felt, embracing her daughter Blue Ivy and husband Jay-Z as she took the stage.

The album Cowboy Carter is part of a trilogy where Beyoncé explores American music and highlights Black artists’ contributions, with a special focus on country and Americana. Her win makes her the first Black woman to win Album of the Year since Lauryn Hill’s The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill in 1999.
