Kapil Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, Remo D’Souza Receive Death Threats from Pakistan

Mumbai,Jan 23: In a disturbing incident, Bollywood celebrities Kapil Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, choreographer Remo D’Souza, and singer-actor Sugandha Mishra have reportedly received death threats from a person linked to Pakistan. Following these threats, the Mumbai Police have launched an investigation and filed an FIR.

The threat came in the form of an email, which was signed by someone named “Bishnu.” The email warned the celebrities of serious consequences if the threat was not taken seriously. It also mentioned that the sender was monitoring the celebrities’ activities and advised them to keep the matter private. The email specifically targeted Kapil Sharma and his team, accusing them of being connected to Salman Khan’s show.

The first email arrived on December 14, 2024, and was directed at actor Rajpal Yadav. The email not only included threats towards Rajpal Yadav but also targeted Kapil Sharma and his team, criticizing their alleged association with Salman Khan’s show. In response, Rajpal Yadav’s wife, Radha Rajpal Yadav, filed a complaint with the Amboli Police Station in Mumbai. As a result, the police opened a case under Section 351(3) of the Indian Penal Code, which deals with threats of harm.

After investigating the matter, the Mumbai Police traced the IP address of the email to Pakistan. The authorities are now working with the Indian government to take further steps to track down the sender. Meanwhile, the police have increased security around the affected celebrities to ensure their safety.

The police have also issued a stern warning to the sender, demanding that they respond within eight hours. The authorities have made it clear that failing to comply will lead to serious consequences, both personally and professionally.

Kapil Sharma, widely loved for his popular comedy shows like Comedy Nights with Kapil and The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix, remains one of India’s most famous entertainers. Rajpal Yadav, known for his comic roles in Bollywood films, was recently seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Remo D’Souza, a well-known choreographer who has also appeared as a judge on dance reality shows, is among the celebrities who were threatened.

The case has drawn attention to the growing problem of online threats against public figures and the importance of ensuring their safety. The Mumbai Police are continuing to investigate the situation and are working to ensure that the celebrities are protected while they pursue the case.
