Mizoram News: BRO Chief Engineer and Mizoram Governor Focus on Infrastructure Development

Aizawl, Jan 17: Pu Girish Prasad Singh, Chief Engineer of Project Pushpak (Border Roads Organisation), met with Mizoram Governor Gen (Dr.) Vijay Kumar Singh to discuss ongoing road and bridge projects in the state. These projects aim to improve connectivity, especially in remote and important areas of Mizoram.

Governor Gen (Dr.) Vijay Kumar Singh stressed the need to use modern technology to speed up construction and keep costs low. He also encouraged solving any problems quickly to ensure the projects are finished on time.

Pu Girish Prasad Singh gave an update on the progress so far. A total of 3,150 kilometers of roads have been built, with 2,392 kilometers already handed over to State and Central agencies. Out of 14 roads under construction, 5 are finished, 4 are nearly done, and 5 are still being worked on. Four key bridges are also expected to be completed by the end of the year.
