Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Guwahati on February 24 to participate in a grand cultural event and launch the “Advantage Assam 2.0” industrial summit.
The cultural event, titled “Jhumuir Binondini,” will take place at Sarusajai Stadium, where over 8,000 artists, primarily from Assam’s tea community, will perform the traditional Jhumur dance.
The performance, accompanied by the rhythmic beats of the Madal, aims to showcase the cultural heritage of the tea community to an international audience.
The event will be attended by PM Modi and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, highlighting Assam’s rich cultural traditions.
On February 25, PM Modi will inaugurate the “Advantage Assam 2.0” summit at Khanapara. The summit, aimed at boosting industrial growth and attracting investments, is expected to generate Rs 3 lakh crore in investments and create numerous employment opportunities in the state.
CM Sarma has been actively promoting Assam’s potential in sectors such as semiconductors, deep technology, infrastructure, and construction through international roadshows.
The summit is poised to position Assam as a leading investment hub in Southeast Asia.
